The Board aims to offer feedback to unsuccessful applicants after each stage of the process. The provision of feedback will be dependent upon the size of the field and the resources available within the Board. There may be occasions when feedback may be provided in a general way for all applicants, particularly when the Board receives a high volume of applications.
It is normal practice for the Board to review its processes at the conclusion of each competition. The Board will invite you to provide any feedback you may have about your own experience of this exercise. Your feedback will be anonymised before being presented to the Board for its consideration as part of the review.
Applicants who are offered a recommendation and are subsequently appointed may be approached by the Board, once they have spent some time in post, to talk about their experience of the judicial appointments process and what the job entails. Their feedback may be published on the Board’s website to assist others who are considering whether a judicial career is for them.
